Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Carpet & Flooring Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a wide variety of flooring materials, including carpet, vinyl, hardwood, tile, and epoxy floors, ensuring each project meets high standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will contribute to transforming spaces and enhancing the aesthetic and functional appeal of residential and commercial environments. Responsibilities
- Measure and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately prepare for flooring installation projects
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and repairing subfloors to ensure proper adhesion of flooring materials
- Install various types of flooring including carpet, vinyl, hardwood, tile, epoxy coatings, and other building materials using hand tools and power tools
- Perform floor refinishing tasks such as buffing, water damage restoration, and surface preparation to ensure a smooth finish
- Handle manual tasks involving lifting, carrying heavy materials, and precise placement while adhering to building installation safety compliance standards
- Use caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and other finishing techniques to complete professional-looking results
Experience
- Proven experience in flooring installation or related construction roles with a strong understanding of building material installation techniques
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and reading construction plans or blueprints
- Hands-on experience with epoxy floor installation, tile laying, hardwood floor installation, vinyl floor installation, and floor refinishing
- Knowledge of water damage restoration procedures and floor care practices for maintaining finished surfaces
- Skilled in using hand tools such as caulking guns, screwdrivers, chisels; power tools including saws, drills, sanders; and specialized equipment for flooring work
- Construction site experience demonstrating adherence to safety protocols and ability to interpret schematics or technical drawings accurately
- Additional experience in cabinet installation, remodeling projects, construction painting or concrete finishing is a plus
