Role Overview
BEPC is seeking a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician to support our client's pharmaceutical manufacturing operations in Madison, WI. This role is responsible for producing active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and intermediates in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing experience, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work with highly potent materials while following strict quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate as a primary or secondary operator for cGMP production of APIs and intermediates.
- Follow batch records, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and manufacturing documentation accurately.
- Operate, clean, and perform basic maintenance on production equipment.
- Maintain production areas and equipment in a safe, clean, and compliant condition.
- Follow proper potent compound handling techniques and all required PPE protocols.
- Communicate production status effectively during shift handoffs.
- Identify and resolve safety and process issues through routine inspections and audits.
- Support a team-based, multi-shift manufacturing environment.
- Complete additional production-related tasks as assigned by department leadership.
- Maintain accurate production documentation in accordance with cGMP requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or another Life Science discipline OR High School Diploma/GED with relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of pharmaceutical, chemical, or related manufacturing experience.
- Experience working in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and follow written procedures and batch records.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and email.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate production equipment and hand tools.
- Basic mathematical and measuring skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds with assistance when necessary.
- Willingness to work with highly potent and hazardous materials while wearing required PPE, including respirators, lab coats, work uniforms, disposable coveralls, and other protective equipment.
Education
- Associate degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related Life Science field preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED with qualifying manufacturing experience will also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience manufacturing pharmaceutical APIs or intermediates.
- Experience in chemical processing or regulated production environments.
- Familiarity with cGMP documentation and compliance.
- Strong safety mindset and experience working with hazardous materials.
- Experience operating production equipment in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
