Join our team in Amarillo, TX as a Survey/CAD Technician, where you’ll play a critical role in enhancing CVE’s construction capabilities. Using advanced surveying equipment and drafting technologies, you’ll establish precise reference points for construction projects. What you’ll do:
- Operate Robotic Total Station and GPS survey equipment to establish reference points for construction projects, including underground duct banks, under-slab conduits, electrical switchgear, site electrical components (e.g. light poles, transformers, generators, utility conduits), interior light fixtures, cable tray systems, conduit racks, and electrical rooms/closets.
- Create, manage, and process point files for field layout and as-built surveying.
- Collect and transfer specific reference points on construction projects under the direction of project managers and superintendents.
- Use Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook) for project documentation and communication.
What you’ll bring:
- Proficiency in survey software
- At least two years of construction survey experience
- Strong mathematical and critical thinking skills, particularly related to the use of survey equipment
- Ability to read and comprehend construction blueprints and project specifications
- Proven ability to complete tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Top notch communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Willingness to adhere to aggressive project schedules
- Current driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle report
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
