Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires proficiency in operating a 10 speed manual trucks, including tractor-trailer while maintaining a high standard of professionalism on the road.
Duties
- Operate and drive trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transit.
- Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules and minimize delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status.
- Operate forklifts as needed for loading and unloading tasks.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience as a delivery driver or in truck driving is preferred.
- Familiarity with route driving techniques and navigation systems.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading and unloading processes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
