We are looking for a motivated, detail oriented, and personable Ophthalmic Technician who thrives in a fast paced, beauty forward environment and enjoys creating memorable patient experiences.
This is not a traditional optometry office role. Our technicians are an essential part of a highly collaborative and modern care model that combines in person service with remote doctors, advanced imaging technology, and concierge style care.
ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Clinical Support
- Welcome and guide patients through their visit with professionalism and warmth
- Perform pre testing and diagnostic workups for remote and in person doctors
- Capture high quality imaging and testing including:
- Autorefraction
- Lensometry
- Retinal imaging
- Dry eye imaging and diagnostics
- Contact lens workups
- Assist doctors during patient consultations and ensure smooth patient flow
- Educate patients on contact lenses, dry eye care, and treatment recommendations
- Help maintain a seamless and elevated patient experience from check in to checkout
Contact Lens & Retail Support
- Collaborate closely with the Hapa Kristin team to support patients interested in colored contact lenses
- Assist patients with contact lens education, insertion and removal training, and product selection
- Help coordinate contact lens orders and follow up communication
- Maintain trial lens inventory and ensure exam lanes are fully stocked and organized
Operations & Teamwork
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the clinic and testing areas
- Troubleshoot workflow issues independently and proactively
- Support daily operational tasks with minimal supervision
- Communicate effectively with remote doctors and team members
- Contribute ideas to improve workflow, efficiency, and patient satisfaction
What We’re Looking For
- Ophthalmic technician, optometric assistant, medical assistant, or optical experience preferred
- Comfortable with technology and able to learn new systems quickly
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Interest in beauty, fashion, wellness, or aesthetics is a plus
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast paced environment
- Self motivated and highly dependable
- Team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
