Responsibilities: The Part-Time Guest Services Associate is a resource for information as well as the point-of-sale person on behalf of State Theatre New Jersey. Knowledge of State Theatre policies, procedures, Tessitura, and performance details are essential for this position. Responsibilities include processing ticket orders for patrons on the phone and/or at the Guest Services window, responding to patron inquiries regarding performances and State Theatre New Jersey policies, assisting with data entry into the ticketing system, and printing tickets. The hours for this position will vary based on the theatre’s performance and Guest Services operating schedule. This position requires flexibility in work schedule that may require daytime, evening and weekend hours.
Specific Duties:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills both in person and over the phone
- General computer knowledge including Microsoft Office suite
- Expertise in using Tessitura, State Theatre’s customer service/tickets system
- Highly motivated/positive attitude with a professional demeanor
- Maintain direct contact with patrons by selling tickets and providing information regarding performance and general Guest Services operations
- Provide support to Assistant Manager/Concierge with comp ticket assignments and creation of Will Call ticketing boxes for individual events
- Other duties and special projects as may be assigned
- General working knowledge of internet
- Working knowledge of Windows suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook email systems
- Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus
