Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and dependable Heavy Equipment & Diesel Truck Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining and repairing heavy construction equipment, diesel trucks, and Redi-Mix cement trucks.
This is an important role within our operation, helping keep our equipment and trucks safe, reliable, and running efficiently. The right candidate should be able to diagnose problems, perform repairs, and complete preventative maintenance with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
· Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy equipment and diesel trucks.
· Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel-related issues.
· Maintain and repair tractor trailers, Redi-Mix cement trucks and other company vehicles.
· Repair and maintain heavy construction equipment, including loaders, excavators, and other equipment.
· Perform brake, suspension, engine, hydraulic, and drivetrain repairs.
· Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment safely and effectively.
· Identify mechanical problems and determine the appropriate repairs.
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
· Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues before they become major repairs.
· Work independently while also working with other mechanics and members of the operations team.
· Keep the shop, tools, and work areas clean and organized.
· Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
· Take equipment out of service when necessary to ensure safe repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications & Experience
· Previous experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Fleet Mechanic, or similar position.
· Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy equipment.
· Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
· Experience working on heavy construction equipment and/or heavy-duty trucks preferred.
· Redi-Mix or cement truck experience is a plus.
· Ability to read and understand equipment service manuals and repair information.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage repair priorities.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
· Must have your own basic set of mechanic hand tools.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
