Personal Injury Paralegal
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
We're looking for an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced attorneys while playing a key role in managing personal injury cases from discovery through trial preparation.
Responsibilities
- Draft and respond to discovery requests.
- Prepare, review, and file legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Review defendant discovery responses and prepare discovery summaries.
- Prepare deposition and trial binders for attorneys.
- Draft initial trial and Final Status Conference (FSC) documents.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation and case management.
- Conduct legal research and gather supporting case materials.
- Communicate with clients and provide case updates as needed.
- Monitor and manage discovery deadlines to ensure timely compliance.
Qualifications
- Paralegal Certificate required.
- 2–3+ years of experience drafting discovery in a personal injury or civil litigation law firm required.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience with legal document preparation and case management software.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a legal team.
