Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated EEC certified Toddler Teacher to join our Sol Playground family. In this role, you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can explore, learn, and grow. Your enthusiasm for early childhood development will inspire curiosity and foster a love of learning in our toddlers. You will be responsible for implementing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and building strong relationships with both children and their families. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in toddlers
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
- Manage daily classroom routines, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor activities
- Use effective behavior management strategies to guide positive social interactions and emotional regulation
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Incorporate literacy education, early intervention techniques, and Montessori methods into daily activities
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child development progress
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting is essential
- EEC certified
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education needs, and early intervention strategies
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is preferred
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to organize lesson plans that include math, literacy, physical education, and sensory activities
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administrative staff
- Familiarity with child welfare standards, behavior management techniques, and standardized testing methods for early childhood assessment
- Experience with curriculum development, Montessori or other educational philosophies is a plus
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment while maintaining patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism
