American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Adult ICU position in Indianapolis, IN, requiring 2 years of ICU experience and night shift availability with every-other-weekend commitment.

Adult Intensive Care Unit (AICU) in a hospital setting, with coverage extending to Neurology Critical Care
-
30-bed unit caring for patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, substance abuse disorders, endocrine disorders, and psych disorders
-
Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on acuity
-
Equipment includes Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, and EV1000
-
EMR: Epic (experience preferred)
-
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
Every other weekend commitment (Friday and Saturday nights)
-
No on-call requirements
-
Floating required to other inpatient areas when the home unit is at low census
-
13-week contract
-
Active IN or Compact RN license required
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
-
Experience with care of septic and mechanically ventilated patients with hemodynamic monitoring required

Comprehensive assessment skills required

CRRT experience preferred
-
Epic EMR experience preferred

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

US Social Security Number required for consideration

EKG exam required as part of the consideration process (2 attempts allowed; if not passed, candidates may reapply in 30 days)

Responsibilities include managing critically ill patients with complex conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, and hemodynamic instability

Orientation includes completion of online modules on the first day, Epic training if needed, and one day of unit orientation

Navy scrubs required; hoodies are not permitted

Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible to apply but will be considered at a local (reduced) rate
