Responsibilities
- Assist with supervising children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to promote a safe and supportive environment
- Support classroom management by organizing activities that foster social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Help implement curriculum plans aligned with childhood development principles and early education standards
- Ensure the safety of children by monitoring their behavior and responding promptly to any needs or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the daycare space, including toys, learning materials, and common areas
- Support staff with diapering, feeding, and basic caregiving tasks for infants and toddlers
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and daily experiences
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings
- Knowledge of childhood development milestones and best practices in early childhood education
- Ability to implement classroom activities that promote learning through play
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques suitable for young children
- Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure quick response in emergencies
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and engaging with parents
