Duties
- Lead and oversee daily bike repair and maintenance activities, ensuring high-quality workmanship across all service requests
- Diagnose mechanical issues using symptom-based analysis, then execute precise repairs on suspension systems, brakes, drivetrain components, and other bicycle systems
- Supervise and mentor junior technicians, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement and skill development
- Manage inventory of hand tools, power tools, replacement parts, and maintenance supplies to ensure operational efficiency
- Assist customers with cycling-related inquiries, recommend appropriate maintenance or upgrades, and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their riding experience
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for assembly, disassembly, repairs, and maintenance of bicycles
Experience
- Proven service technician experience with a strong background in bicycle repair or vehicle maintenance
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair including brake repair, suspension tuning, drivetrain adjustments, and mechanical assembly
- Skilled in symptom-based mechanical diagnosis to identify issues quickly and accurately
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, suspension systems, and mechanical systems repair techniques
- Familiarity with retail sales environments and POS systems to facilitate customer transactions effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during maintenance tasks
