Job Description: Pizzaiolo "Pizza Chef"

Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced pizza cook to join our locale Team. The ideal candidate is a professional cook who has a deep passion for crafting and cooking pizza, a strong of experience in a high-volume restaurant profession. This role requires a keen understanding of food safety and handling practices, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook high-quality pizzas according to our menu specifications.
- Hand-toss dough and create various crust styles, including authentic traditional Neapolitan and New York-style.
- Manage food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow and efficient kitchen operations.
- Oversee the inventory of ingredients and ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
- Experiment with new toppings and flavors to enhance the menu and offer unique specials.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on pizza-making techniques and kitchen safety.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask effectively, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other food preparation tools.
- Coordinate with all staff to ensure timely service.
- Contribute to special events and catering services as required.
- Handle equipment with care and report any maintenance issues as needed.
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Pizzaiolo or in a similar role in a fast-paced restaurant that serves traditional Italian cuisine.
- Strong dough preparation, baking techniques, and various pizza styles.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for food and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
