Dycos Staffing is seeking a dedicated Dry Finish Supervisor to lead and oversee the dry finishing functions within our precast/prestress concrete manufacturing facility. This role involves supervising a team responsible for but not limited to the duties:
- Clean plates (chipping hammer, scrapper)
- Grind edges
- Patch spalls
- Burn cables
- Sack exposed edges
- Sandblast as necessary
- Prepare finished products for QC
- Train new finishers as needed
- Housekeeping as needed, maintaining work area and tools in a clean and orderly manner
Additional supervisory functions include but not limited to:
- Able to develop work schedule
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Ability to recognize hazards and take appropriate action to correct
- Ensures pre-operation checklist are completed daily
- Implements procedures to improve quality, productivity and efficiency
- Leads, directs and trains department staff in all aspects of job specific process
- Coordinates with support departments regarding shipping schedule and/or product needed
- Effectively communicate with employees, plant management and personnel
- Must be able to interpret and check blue prints and specifications to verify material is finished correctly
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. Performs a variety of complicated tasks
