CIE USA-Century Plastics, a division of the global enterprise CIE Automotive, is seeking a talented Process Technician to join our team.
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Primary Purpose: Perform as a team leader for your department under direct supervision, overseeing production standards are met and exceeded
Essential Functions:
· Maintain conduct in a professional manner.
· Complete all required documentation based on procedures and work Instructions to meet TS-16949 requirements in your area
· Process Monitoring
· Set Tools
· Encourage and support direct and indirect labor training and cross training and continuous improvement
· Maintain a work environment to reduce employee turnover and increase
employee tenure
· Ensure work cell and manufacturing efficiency to ensure program and part planned efficiency is met
· Monitor and take necessary steps to reduce internal scrap through effective
trouble shooting methods (8D, Design of Experiment, etc.)
· Perform duties as instructed by your supervision.
· Assist in the development of plant layout in accordance with Lean Manufacturing principles
· Fill in for absent supervision.
· Print labels for specified shifts
· Perform 1st piece approval process
· Provide boundary samples for all production runs
· Verify correct documentation identified per product / work cell
· Perform any additional tasks assigned
Qualifications:
· Good organizational, communication, computer, math skills
· Ability to positively and proactively interact/communicate with employees at the organizational levels
· Blueprint Reading, Tooling, Equipment, Maintenance Skills are mandatory and necessary for this position
· Good understanding of measurement tools.
· 1+ year of manufacturing experience, preferably in the plastics and automotive industry.
· Basic knowledge of quality control
· Excellent attendance record
· Plastic injection molding processing experience preferred
· Ability to effectively explain the Quality Policy.

Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
