TRAVELING INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN — DAY SHIFT

Copper Peaks Solutions is hiring experienced industrial maintenance technicians for a long-term position at a rendering plant on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
Let’s be clear: this is a dirty, greasy, hot, nasty-smelling industrial environment. If you need a clean shop and air conditioning, this isn’t for you. If you’re dependable, mechanically inclined, and know how to work, you can make excellent money while being home roughly half the year.
SCHEDULE:
- Day shift
- 12-hour shifts
- 14 consecutive days working
- Approximately 12 days home between rotations
- Employees travel to Maryland before the rotation and return home afterward
- This is a long-term traveling position—not a short shutdown
COMPENSATION:
- Hourly pay based on experience
- Overtime after 40 hours each week
- $250 weekly per diem while working
- $400 weekly layover pay during the scheduled off rotation
- $250 for each approved travel day
- Company housing provided at no cost
- Individual bedrooms—no shared rooms
JOB DUTIES:
- Industrial equipment repair and maintenance
- Gearboxes, bearings, shafts, motors, pumps, and conveyors
- Welding and fabrication
- Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting
- Preventive maintenance and equipment inspections
- Emergency breakdown repairs
- Working safely around operating production equipment
- Keeping tools and work areas organized
REQUIREMENTS:
- Industrial maintenance, millwright, or heavy mechanical experience
- Basic welding and fabrication ability
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment instead of waiting to be told every step
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Ability to work the entire scheduled rotation
- Must pass required background screening and drug testing
- Must be able to handle heat, grease, odor, blood, animal byproducts, and physically demanding work
- No alcohol or drugs in company housing
We need people who show up on time, work safely, and pull their weight. This is not a position for someone who disappears, complains constantly, or needs to be chased around all day.
