Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to install, service, and maintain standby backup generators, including systems from Generac. This role involves working on residential and light commercial projects, ensuring safe and code-compliant electrical installations.
Responsibilities
- Install standby generators, transfer switches, and related electrical systems
- Connect generators to main electrical panels and ensure proper load balancing
- Perform site assessments to determine generator sizing and placement
- Install and route conduit, wiring, and grounding systems
- Test and commission generator systems to ensure proper operation
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and generator-related issues
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections
- Ensure all work complies with NEC codes and local regulations
- Communicate with customers regarding system operation and maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid Electrician License (Journeyman or higher preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of electrical experience
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and NEC code
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience installing Generac or similar standby generators
- Manufacturer certification (a plus) Not a must-have
- Experience with residential and light commercial electrical work

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
