Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Survey Manager to lead our surveying operations and ensure the successful execution of land, topographic, and construction surveys. In this pivotal role, you will oversee survey projects from inception to completion, manage surveying teams, and utilize advanced surveying technologies to deliver precise data for a variety of civil engineering and construction projects. Your expertise will drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards while fostering a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities
- Perform precise site surveys and construction staking for earthwork, foundations, utilities, and structures
- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
- Set and maintain control points, benchmarks, and layout for grading, excavation, and concrete work
- Operate survey instruments including GPS, total stations, and data collectors (Trimble, Topcon, or Leica)
- Provide accurate field data to project managers, superintendents, and engineers
- Track as-built conditions and maintain up-to-date survey records throughout project lifecycle
- Coordinate closely with field teams to verify alignment and elevation accuracy
- Maintain, calibrate, and safeguard survey equipment
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of field survey experience in civil construction (utility-scale energy experience preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of Trimble, Leica, or Topcon systems.
- FAA Part 107 Drone License.
- Deep understanding of horizontal and vertical control, cut/fill sheets, and construction sequencing.
- Ability to work independently on active job sites and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
Survey certification or associate’s degree in surveying, engineering technology, or related field
Prior experience on solar, wind, substation, or BESS projects
Familiarity with Civil 3D and field data processing tools

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
