Overview
We are seeking dedicated and highly skilled Back of House Staff and Pizza Cook to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidates will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. This role is essential in ensuring that both of our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring food items as required by the menu.
- Assist cooks in the preparation of meals, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food handling procedures are met.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools.
- Support the dietary department by preparing special meals as needed for guests with dietary restrictions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods in a fine dining setting.
- Participate in regular training sessions on food handling and safety practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen of 5 years.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and improve culinary skills over time.
