An EXPERIENCED Vending Service Technician is needed for an Akron based vending company. We are looking for a full-time, hardworking, dependable, customer oriented individual.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responds to dispatched calls for machine repairs using company-owned vehicle
- Inspects machines to locate causes of malfunctions
- Repairs coin mechanisms, bill validators, and boards
- Inspects parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems, removes and replaces worn or defective parts, repairs broken parts, tests machine operation following repair
- Completes repairs efficiently according to priority list, keeping truck stocked and tools organized to avoid multiple trips
- Documents all work performed thoroughly
- Maintains equipment inventory
- Prepares machines for installation at accounts
- Operates mechanical equipment and small hand tools for machine repair
- Maintains clean, organized and safe work environment
- Assists in the installation of vending machines
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Refrigeration/HVAC Certification preferred, but not required
- Minimum 2 years technical experience preferred
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs. on a consistent basis
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid Driver's License - Must have clean driving record
Valuable Knowledge
- Working with mechanical systems (troubleshooting and repairing appliances, performing basic household repair in plumbing, circuits, fuses, and electrical components, operating hand tools and power tools, etc.)
- Working with basic refrigeration systems (understanding refrigeration cycle, freon, compressors, evaporators, condensers, etc.)
- Working with electrical systems (understanding flow, wiring, outlets, etc.)
- Working with plumbing (working with drains, water supply, ice makers, shut-off valves, filtration systems, etc.)
Starting pay is negotiable depending upon experience.
