Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Licensed Insurance Agent to join our team in Abilene, TX under our Protege program. In this role, you will work directly with a mentor agent as an employee for the duration of the program. You will be responsible for sourcing new clients, helping helping them choose appropriate insurance coverages to meet their individual or business needs through a consultative sales approach. You will use your product knowledge, sales skills, and licensing credentials to guide customers through the selection and purchase of insurance coverage, ensuring excellent service throughout the process.

Responsibilities
· Obtain Property & Casualty, AND Life & Health licenses PRIOR to program start
· Spend 6-12 months in the Protégé role (time-based upon the individual)
· Program has set sales and growth goals to keep you on track
· Work closely with the Agency Owner to gain an understanding of the Agent Owner role.
· Generate New Business sales via a multitude of lead sources
· Immersed into the Farmers culture and insurance industry
· Collaborate with Mentor Agent and the District Office and learn how to build, and scale, a successful agency
Requirements
· Be comfortable with a sales-related career based on commission and obtaining sales-related goals
· Must have, or obtain, General Lines Property & Casualty, and Life & Health licenses from the State of Texas (within 30 days)
· Self-confidence, perseverance, and the ability to remain positive and maintain progress towards goals despite obstacles and adversity
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
· Strong listening skills and ability to anticipate and overcome objections
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Ability to take initiative and act effectively with minimal direction at times
· Experience with Microsoft Office products
· Experience developing and following a prospecting plan
· A track record of exceeding sales goals

Pay: $35,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
