Job Description:
- This role will provide advanced technical expertise, leadership support, and improved coordination of maintenance activities across the facility.
- Administratively responsible for managing the daily work load of the engineering departments and its related systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in: Plumbing, Carpentry and Electrical work.
- Proven ability to train, coach, and mentor junior staff, including hands-on instruction and knowledge transfer in equipment repair, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively guide staff with varying skill levels.
Education Requirements:
- Technical School or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of mechanical equipment, utilities and techniques applicable to a health care setting.
- Administratively responsible for managing the daily work load of the engineering departments and its related systems.
Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team at St. Johnland Nursing Center in the US. This crucial role contributes to maintaining our facility's operational integrity, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with HVAC, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Utilize CMMS for tracking maintenance activities and inventory management.
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in training junior maintenance staff as needed.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, and programmable logic controllers.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Relevant certifications in electrical or mechanical fields are preferred.
