Duties
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, Hot stone and Aromatherapy Massage.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs and develop customized Massage Treatments.
- Apply advanced knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to ensure safe and effective therapies.
- Educate clients on pain management strategies, post-treatment care, and overall wellness practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client sessions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with health regulations.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation standards and safety protocols including CPR certification requirements.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, explain procedures, and foster a positive experience.
Skills
- Proven experience in massage therapy with proficiency.
- Strong client service skills with the ability to connect empathetically and communicate clearly with diverse clients.
- In-depth knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pain management methods, and occupational health principles.
- Ability to perform client assessments accurately and tailor treatments accordingly.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage practices.
- Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications in trigger point therapy or sports massage are a plus.
- Must be Licensed in NJ and Insured
- Experience working in a med spa or similar healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
