Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication of menu items and specials
- Prepare and serve food and beverages efficiently, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining balanced registers
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, resetting dining areas promptly, and assisting with food preparation when needed
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to uphold safety standards and prevent contamination
- Assist in food prep tasks as necessary, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently without compromising quality of service
- Support team members by providing excellent customer service, addressing guest inquiries promptly, and ensuring a positive dining environment
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary experience enhances performance in this role
- Strong time management skills to handle fast-paced service periods effectively
- Experience with cash handling, cashiering, and basic math ensures accurate transactions
- Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is essential
- Background in quick service or fast-food restaurants can provide a solid foundation for success in this role
- Prior experience in retail math or grocery store environments can be beneficial for managing sales and inventory tasks
