Join our dynamic healthcare team as a mobile Podiatrist, where you will play a vital role in diagnosing, treating, and managing foot and lower extremity conditions. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical history reviews, to diagnose foot, ankle, and lower limb conditions.
- Develop personalized treatment plans encompassing medical and rehabilitative approaches to address various podiatric issues.
- Perform minor surgical procedures such as toenail removals, wound debridement, and other foot surgeries using aseptic techniques.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
- Interpret diagnostic imaging such as X-rays and ultrasounds to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Educate patients on foot health, injury prevention, proper footwear, and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term wellness.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including orthopedists, physical therapists, and primary care providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Experience
- Valid state licensure as a Podiatrist with current certification to practice medicine in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in outpatient podiatric medicine with familiarity in medical imaging interpretation and surgical procedures.
- Experience in managing diverse patient populations across inpatient and outpatient settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical coding (CPT/ICD) for accurate billing and compliance purposes.
- Ability to perform clinical procedures such as wound care, and diabetic foot assessments confidently.
