Part-Time Barista and Hemp Specialist
The Health Club is seeking a passionate, reliable, and community-oriented team member to join our growing team. This is not a typical barista position! We are looking for someone who is excited to learn about hemp-derived products, educate customers, and help foster a welcoming, judgement-free environment for our community. As a small business, every team member plays an important role in our success. We are looking for someone who is dependable, self-motivated, and genuinely excited about helping people discover products and beverages that improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, mocktails, infused beverages, and other menu items
- Educate customers on hemp-derived products, including cannabinoids, effects, dosing, and product formats
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming experience for all guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe and retail space
- Process transactions accurately through our point of sale system
- Restock inventory and assist with daily opening and closing procedures
- Represent The Health Club at community events, festivals, pop-ups, and vendor markets
- Contribute to a positive team culture and help support the growth of the business
Qualifications
- Weekend availability is required
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to self-transport to work and off-site events
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Comfortable learning and discussing hemp-derived products with customers
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently and with a team
- Passion for hospitality, cannabis/hemp education, coffee, and community-building
- Previous barista experience (at least 1 year) and baseline knowledge of hemp/cannabis required
