RSG is seeking a leader in our Market Research practice to apply state-of-the-art survey methodologies and domain-specific subject matter expertise to transit customer research. As a leader in the transit market research industry, RSG provides high quality, actionable insights through innovative techniques and data driven approaches. We apply unmatched expertise in quantitative and qualitative transit market research to help public transit agencies across the U.S. understand customer needs, preferences, and travel behavior. Prior experience in transit market research or working for a transit agency strongly preferred for this position but not required.

PRIMARY PURPOSE
Managing Consultants are subject matter experts who plan and manage small teams responsible for complex and large-scale project portfolios. They are responsible for the performance of the team and growth of existing portfolios. Managing Consultants have direct project management and work product responsibilities, ensuring on-time and on-budget project delivery with high customer satisfaction and excellent business performance outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree related to transportation, market research, statistics, math, economics, psychology, geography, engineering, energy, or a similarly relevant field of study.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience overseeing multiple teams and project portfolios to deliver work within scope, schedule, and budget, while maintaining high client satisfaction.
Demonstrated ability to recruit, manage and develop people (e.g., performance and developmental goal setting, delivering performance feedback, participating in pay decisions, and productively participating in disciplinary action).
Proficiency in conducting analyses using statistical packages, databases and spreadsheets, e.g., SPSS, Python, SQL, R, and/or Excel.
