Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Residential Painter to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment such as airless paint sprayers, and hand tools
- Perform detailed trim carpentry, caulking, plastering, and stucco work to achieve smooth and professional results
- Read blueprints and schematics to accurately interpret project specifications and color schemes based on color theory principles
- Conduct renovation and restoration tasks on existing structures, including masonry, drywall repairs, and fixture installation
- Use construction estimating skills to assess project scope, materials needed, and time requirements for each job
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols on construction sites and handling power tools responsibly
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential painting with knowledge of commercial painting practices preferred
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and industrial painting equipment such as airless sprayers
- Strong understanding of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with construction site experience including renovation projects, framing carpentry, drywall finishing, and maintenance tasks
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to materials and labor costs for painting projects
- Ability to perform plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, and concrete finishing as needed
- Excellent hand-eye coordination with handyman experience across multiple trades such as fixture installation or welding is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation; ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
