Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the functionality and safety of hotel facilities by performing repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance on a variety of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), refrigeration systems, and kitchen equipment. Your expertise will ensure our properties operate smoothly and efficiently, providing guests with a comfortable stay.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, kitchen appliances, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair appliance issues including refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, and other kitchen equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct HVAC & appliance technology repairs such as air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment.
- Install new appliances and mechanical systems following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used; utilize maintenance management software effectively.
- Operate company vehicles responsibly for on-site repairs or equipment transportation as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to lead maintenance projects or assist with construction-related tasks when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician with strong appliance repair skills.
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration technology, and mechanical systems repair.
- Hands-on experience with kitchen equipment maintenance and appliance installation.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) procedures within hospitality or similar environments.
- Ability to operate HVAC systems including air conditioning units and ventilation systems confidently.
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and guests when needed.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles safely.
- Construction experience or familiarity with building maintenance is a plus.
