Overview/Duties
Hotel 28 Boise Airport, an Ascend Collection boutique hotel, is looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role responsible for keeping our 124-room property running smoothly and our guests comfortable.What You Will Do:Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the property including guest rooms, common areas, and mechanical systemsRespond to guest room maintenance requests in a timely and professional mannerMaintain the pool, sauna, and spa area including chemical testing and loggingPerform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and equipmentConduct daily property walks and report any safety hazardsAssist with painting, patching, carpentry, and general upkeepCoordinate with housekeeping and front desk on room readinessBe available for on-call needs as requiredWhat We Are Looking For:Previous hotel or facilities maintenance experience preferredGeneral knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentryAbility to work independently and prioritize tasksStrong communication skills and a guest-first attitudeAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet throughout the shiftWhat We Offer:Competitive payStable full time scheduleSupportive team environmentHotel located right off I-84 at Exit 54 — easy commute
Duties
- Lead and supervise the maintenance department, including planning, scheduling, and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment and facilities.
- Manage maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders, asset history, and inventory levels efficiently.
- Oversee electrical systems maintenance, including high voltage and low voltage equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
- Coordinate with project management teams for facility upgrades, machinery installations, and infrastructure improvements.
- Supervise the use of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems to optimize production processes.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols related to HVAC systems, electrical work, high voltage operations, and industrial maintenance standards.
- Develop training programs for technicians on equipment operation, schematics interpretation, and safety procedures.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime and increasing operational efficiency.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and compliance documentation.
Experience
- Proven management experience leading maintenance teams within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits (including high voltage and low voltage), HVAC systems, and facilities management.
- Hands-on experience with industrial maintenance practices using schematics and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and asset tracking.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a safety-first culture.
- Experience in project management related to facility upgrades or machinery installation projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate across departments effectively.
