Position Overview
TWA Erectors is seeking an experienced Metal Building Worker to join our team. This position is responsible for the erection of pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMBs), installation of metal roof and wall panel systems, trim, insulation, gutters, downspouts, doors, louvers, and other building components on industrial and commercial construction projects.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience erecting metal buildings, working safely at heights, operating aerial lifts, reading construction drawings, and installing metal panel systems with a high level of quality and productivity. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Erect pre-engineered metal building systems, including primary and secondary structural steel components.
- Install roof panels, wall panels, insulation systems, trim, flashing, gutters, downspouts, and accessories.
- Install doors, windows, louvers, exhaust fans, ridge vents, and other building components.
- Layout and align building components to required tolerances.
- Safely use screw guns, impact drivers, drills, shears, and other hand and power tools.
- Operate aerial lifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and forklifts when qualified.
- Assist with rigging, signaling, unloading, and handling structural steel and building materials.
- Identify and report quality, safety, and installation issues before they become problems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company, customer, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Travel to industrial and commercial jobsites as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience erecting pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMBs), metal roofing, and wall panel systems.
- Experience installing standing seam and exposed-fastener roof systems preferred.
- Experience with insulation systems and weather-tight building envelopes preferred.
- Knowledge of proper rigging and material handling practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 50-100 pounds regularly.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Comfortable working from aerial lifts, scaffolding, and elevated work platforms.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
Preferred Certifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Forklift Certification
- Aerial Lift Certification
- TWIC Card (preferred)
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
