BASIC FUNCTION:
To serve as the educational leader and chief executive of the elementary school; to
be responsible for direction of the instructional program, for the operation of the
school plant, for the school activities, evaluation of staff, and staff development
activities; and to exercise leadership in the community.
ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Accountable for the level of learning; a focus on outcomes.
2. Implementation of California Standards.
3. Incorporation of technology in management and instruction.
4. Management of all classified and certificated human resources assigned to the
school.
5. Fair and consistent administration of the negotiated collective bargaining agreement.
6. Site-based budgeting, accounting, inventory and equipment control.
7. Demonstrate shared decision-making.
8. Contribute to positive Leadership Team relations.
9. Site leader for IEP’s and SST’s.
10. Administer consolidated programs – Title 1, LEP, ESL and other categoricals for the
site.
11. Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Eligible for California Administrative Services Credential and ability to meet district
standards for physical and mental health. Better than average recommendations
from prior supervisors or other professionals who have observed the personal
characteristics, scholastic attainment, and performance of the administrator.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A. At least three years of successful teaching at the K-6 level.
B. Record of ability to communicate openly and work productively with staff and the
community.
C. Belief in and a zeal for education as an individual and community benefit.
D. Prior successful experience as an elementary school principal or assistant principal.

Pay: $103,872.00 - $133,527.00 per year
