We are seeking a patient, caring, and mindful daycare assistant who is passionate about providing children with the attention, safety, and love they deserve. The ideal candidate is personable, attentive, and able to communicate effectively with both children and parents.
This role involves supporting children’s physical, emotional, and educational development while maintaining a safe, clean, and nurturing environment. We are looking for someone who will grow to genuinely care for the children as if they were their own.
Responsibilities:
- Create a positive and nurturing environment that encourages growth, creativity, and self-discovery through music, art, and play.
- Supervise children and provide daily care, including feeding, diaper changes, hygiene, and establishing consistent routines.
- Encourage learning, curiosity, and development of basic social skills such as sharing and communication.
- Monitor children’s physical, emotional, and behavioral well-being and promptly report any concerns to parents and staff.
- Maintain a safe environment physically, mentally, and emotionally for all children.
- Clean and sanitize toys, play areas, and classrooms regularly.
- Maintain accurate records as required.
- Collaborate with parents to support each child’s educational, behavioral, and emotional growth.
Job Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Childcare certifications required upon hiring (may be completed during the hiring process).
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Physical stamina to lift, carry, and actively supervise children.
- Strong patience, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attentiveness to children’s safety and well-being.
- Résumé preferred.
