Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Day Porter to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facilities. As a vital part of our custodial team, you will ensure that common areas, restrooms, lobbies, hallways, and other shared spaces are spotless, well-maintained, and welcoming for employees, visitors, and clients alike. Your energetic approach and commitment to safety will help create a positive environment that reflects our standards of excellence. Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely in accordance with established safety protocols and chemical handling procedures.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition as needed.
- Maintain safety by adhering to all safety protocols during cleaning activities and using personal protective equipment when handling chemicals or performing custodial duties.
- Support general facilities maintenance activities including industrial cleaning and custodial services to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning practices.
- Experience handling chemical agents safely and knowledge of sanitation standards required for maintaining hygiene in shared spaces.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools is highly desirable.
- Customer service skills that enable positive interactions with staff and visitors while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of safety protocol adherence related to facilities maintenance and chemical handling safety procedures is essential.
- Previous experience in industrial or residential cleaning environments is a plus, demonstrating versatility in various custodial settings.
Work hours will be from 10am - 2pm (Monday through Friday).
