Summary: The Macon County Health Department is seeking a Money Management Specialist to perform money management assessments and provide money management services to eligible residents of Macon County referred to by the Macon County Mental Health Board and/or Heritage Behavioral Health Center. Position duties and responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to, the following: Provides Money Management services to clients as assigned by the MMP Coordinator including monthly bill pay, monthly budgeting and preparing spending money; Maintains close working relationships with local bank personnel and secures needed services for client; Publicizes the project in the local area to increase public awareness and client referrals; Maintains close working relationships with agencies and care coordinators to ensure that mutual clients receive support for matters other than financial; Provides on-site/in-home assessments annually for MMP to determine needs of client and continued eligibility for MMP; Maintains MMP files for assigned clients; Completes billing forms monthly and submits to MMP Coordinator within required timeframes; Maintains working knowledge of state/regional rules and regulations; Obtains and/or maintains Senior Health Insurance Program certifications, SAGE Certification, and Care Coordinator certifications; Participates in councils or committees and maintains knowledge of the senior service network.
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in health/human services or accounting/financial management related field with one year of experience with community agencies and a working knowledge of services available in Macon County. Experience with financial/banking operations and accounting practices preferred.
Salary: $49,600.00
