Old Bridge Veterinary Hospital is currently seeking experienced Veterinary Assistants to join our amazing team! Key Responsibilities
- Engage with every client in a warm and welcoming manner
- Weigh patients and obtain vital signs
- Clean and sanitize exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment
- Safely restrain animals during examinations and vaccinations
- Assist with routine procedures
- Draw up vaccines and injections for veterinarian administration
- Obtain and accurately document patient histories
- Promote preventive healthcare recommendations
- Stock and maintain hospital supplies
- Provide exceptional care to companion animal patients while delivering professional client service
- Maintain punctual and reliable attendance
Physical Requirements & Skills
- Ability to measure and record weight, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate
- Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
- Ability to lift and carry pets and objects up to 50 pounds independently; assist with heavier patients as needed
- Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask and problem-solve
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and remain calm under stress
- Experience with IDEXX and Cornerstone software is a plus
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

- Animal restraint: 1 year (Required)
