Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict aseptic technique.
- Manage complex medical procedures such as IV infusion, catheterization, suturing, and ventilator management.
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide specialized care in areas such as critical care, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, or hospice & palliative medicine based on your expertise.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and modify individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management strategies including medication administration, wound care, and lifestyle modifications.
Requirements
- Valid RN license with current state registration.
- Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, ICU, emergency room, long-term care facilities, or outpatient clinics.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding and diagnostic evaluation procedures.
- Hands-on experience with critical care procedures such as airway management, tube feeding, laboratory specimen collection/processing and infection control practices.
- Ability to perform advanced nursing skills including IV insertion, phlebotomy, suturing and sterile processing techniques.
- Familiarity with specialty areas like cardiology (cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology (botulinum toxin treatment), trauma medicine (Level I & II trauma centers), infectious disease care or neurocritical care is highly desirable.
