Position Overview
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and outgoing Host to join our team Friday through Sunday. The Host is responsible for creating a welcoming first impression, managing the front door, seating guests efficiently, and helping keep the dining room organized and running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly attitude
- Manage the waitlist and accurately quote wait times
- Seat guests according to the seating rotation and restaurant needs
- Answer phones and assist guests with basic questions
- Communicate with servers, managers, and other staff regarding table availability
- Keep the host stand and front entrance clean and organized
- Help maintain an organized dining room during busy periods
- Assist with opening and closing host duties
- Provide excellent customer service throughout every guest interaction
- Follow all restaurant policies and procedures
- Work efficiently and remain calm during busy weekend shifts
Schedule
The position is primarily Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with availability needed for both morning and evening shifts.
- Opening Shift: Approximately 10:30 AM–4:00 PM
- Closing Shift: Approximately 4:00 PM–Close
- Exact closing times may vary depending on business volume.
Qualifications
- Friendly, positive, and professional personality
- Reliable and punctual
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Comfortable working busy weekend shifts
- Previous restaurant or hosting experience is preferred but not required
- Must be a team player and willing to help wherever needed
