Duties
- Provide expert hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, coloring, and special occasion styling with precision and flair
- Perform advanced hair treatments such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and nail care to enhance client satisfaction
- Utilize salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently
- Offer personalized consultations on color theory, hair care routines, and current trends to meet each client’s unique needs
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by sterilizing tools and ensuring a clean work environment in compliance with health regulations
- Upsell retail products such as hair care items, styling tools, and cosmetics to support clients’ ongoing beauty routines
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair threading, makeup application, and store management practices
Experience
- 5 years minimum of proven experience as a professional stylist with expertise in hair styling, coloring, and advanced treatments like hair extensions and eyelash extensions
- Strong knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and retail management
- Demonstrated ability in store management tasks including front desk operations and retail math calculations
- Excellent communication skills to connect with diverse clients and understand their beauty goals effectively
- Hands-on experience with barbering techniques like straight razor shaves and precision cuts is a plus
- Familiarity with sanitation protocols, cosmetology licensing requirements, and maintaining high hygiene standards in a salon setting
- Prior mentoring or training experience to support team development and skill enhancement
