What You’ll Do
- Perform vascular and abdominal ultrasounds with high diagnostic quality
- Verify physician orders and ensure procedure accuracy
- Explain procedures clearly to patients, maintaining professionalism and respect
- Operate ultrasound equipment independently, assisting radiologists as needed
- Review images for quality before transmission, ensuring diagnostic standards are met
- Complete quality control procedures in compliance with regulations
- Assist with departmental operations such as equipment maintenance and stocking
- Adapt communication and approach to diverse patient populations
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and federal/state laws regarding safety and patient privacy
What You Need
- Required:
- ARDMS certification in Abdominal and OB-Gyn ultrasound or Cardiac Sonography
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification within two years of hire
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of vascular sonography experience, maternal-fetal medicine experience preferred
- Completion of a CAHEA-approved diagnostic medical sonography program
- Preferred:
- Maternal Fetal Medicine experience
- Familiarity with healthcare software and radiology information systems
