The Manufacturing Supervisor leads the day-to-day operations of electrical assembly and electrical inspection, ensuring production priorities are met safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality and customer requirements. This role is responsible for developing and supporting team members, coordinating workload and resources, addressing production and quality issues, and driving continuous improvement across the department. The Manufacturing Supervisor works closely with Engineering, Quality, and other teams to maintain effective processes, improve performance, and support on-time delivery of high-quality products.
Job Responsibilities

Lead and supervise daily electrical assembly and electrical inspection activities, ensuring work is completed in accordance with production schedules, established processes, quality standards, and customer requirements.

Plan, schedule, and allocate departmental workload based on production priorities, ensuring appropriate staffing, equipment, tools, and resources are available to meet production demands.

Perform and oversee in-process and final inspections of parts, assemblies, and systems as required.

Partner with team leads to train, mentor, and develop assemblers and inspection personnel, supporting skill development, increased responsibility, engagement, and career growth.

Create and maintain effective training processes to ensure team members are properly trained on applicable procedures, equipment, quality requirements, and assembly and inspection processes.

Provide clear and regular communication to team members regarding production priorities, expectations, quality requirements, and performance goals.

Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other internal teams to clarify engineering drawings, specifications, documentation, and assembly or inspection requirements.

Communicate with customers, suppliers, and other external partners as needed to resolve technical or quality concerns and clarify requirements.

Identify and troubleshoot production, quality, employee, and customer-related issues, collaborating across departments to develop and implement effective solutions.

Provide timely feedback to team members and supervisors to address quality or performance concerns and support corrective and preventive actions.

Establish and maintain effective, repeatable processes that support consistent product quality, operational efficiency, and customer service.

Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving quality, productivity, efficiency, cost control, and profitability.

Monitor department capacity, including staffing and equipment needs, and proactively identify and request additional resources when needed.

Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary processes for department personnel.

Establish, track, and report production, quality, capacity, and team performance metrics to management, using results to identify trends and drive improvement.

Promote a process-driven culture focused on quality, accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Promote and maintain a safe work environment by supporting safety initiatives and ensuring adherence to established safety policies and procedures.

Ensure departmental activities comply with applicable procedures and ISO 9001 quality management system requirements.

Demonstrate initiative by anticipating operational needs, identifying potential challenges early, and taking action to improve processes and outcomes.

Qualification Requirements

Associate degree in technical field or equivalent work experience.

Previous supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing or production environment required.

Previous electrical, electronics, electromechanical, or related technical experience required.

Ability to travel (domestic and internationally) and obtain a passport.
-
Due to federal contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. §1324b(a)(3).
Skill Requirements

Ability to read, interpret, and communicate engineering drawings, electrical schematics, specifications, work instructions, and other technical documentation.

Working knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, and inspection processes.

Experience using applicable inspection, measurement, and test equipment, such as calipers, dial indicators, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and similar tools.

Ability to plan and prioritize work, allocate resources, and adjust to changing production demands.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to communicate detailed verbal and written instructions clearly and effectively.

Ability to work collaboratively across manufacturing, engineering, quality, and other functional teams.
Physical Requirements
