FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
Luxury Resort | Caribbean | Relocation Package Available
A luxury resort is seeking a Financial Controller to lead all financial operations. This senior role suits a hands-on finance professional with resort hospitality experience, ideally with a strata and timeshare background in a Caribbean setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to senior leadership
- Manage and monitor departmental budgets, cost controls, and revenue performance across all resort divisions
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, tax obligations, and company financial policies
- Partner with department heads to drive financial accountability and support property-wide performance goals
- Lead the annual budgeting and audit processes, coordinating with external auditors as required
- Oversee strata and timeshare financial administration, including owner levies, trust accounts, and related reporting
- Recruit, develop, and mentor the finance team; foster a culture of accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the General Manager and ownership group
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent; CPA or ACCA strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of progressive financial leadership in a hotel or resort environment
- Strata and timeshare financial management experience is required
- Strong knowledge of hospitality accounting standards and PMS integrations
- Caribbean work experience is highly preferred
- Experience in a large-scale resort environment is a strong advantage
- Must be a US or UK visa holder
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: USD $90,000 – $95,000 per year
- Service Charge: USD $8,000 – $10,000 per year
- Bonus: Annual, at company's discretion
