Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality behavioral therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. Duties
- Implement personalized behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) using ABA techniques.
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, fostering independence.
- Use positive reinforcement strategies to encourage desired behaviors and manage challenging behaviors effectively.
- Support teaching sessions that develop communication, social skills, academic readiness, and life skills tailored to each individual’s needs.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate regularly with team members and families to ensure consistency of care and share progress updates.
Qualifications
- Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, working with children, or special education is preferred but not required; we provide comprehensive training for all new team members.
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work patiently and compassionately with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation standards, and confidentiality requirements such as HIPAA.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care, safety, and ethical practices in behavioral health settings.
- RBT Certification
