Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a pristine environment.
- Handle various cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, mops, and industrial cleaning tools.
- Safely manage chemical agents and cleaning supplies in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture, linens, and cleaning materials to maintain efficiency and safety standards.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation by adhering to hotel housekeeping management procedures and industry best practices.
- Respond promptly to guest requests for additional cleaning or amenities, providing excellent customer service with a friendly attitude.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety guidelines to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff.
Requirements
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong manual handling skills with the physical ability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive, energetic approach.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems and industrial cleaning practices is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining safety protocols, including understanding safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel emergency procedures.
