Join our dynamic team as a Residential Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and efficiency of residential HVAC systems. Duties
- Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, refrigeration systems, and building automation controls
- Install new HVAC equipment following schematics and design specifications while ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems to optimize performance and extend equipment lifespan
- Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and conduct repairs on electrical systems within HVAC units
- Use hand tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to repair or replace faulty components effectively
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs and installations accurately
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in mechanical systems repair and installation
- Service technician experience in residential HVAC or related fields such as property maintenance or appliance repair
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, building automation systems, electrical systems, and refrigeration processes
- Hands-on experience with HVAC system troubleshooting, equipment repair, and maintenance procedures
- Mechanical knowledge of boilers, ammonia refrigeration (preferred), electrical diagnostics, and HVAC/R systems
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently; welding experience is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (including <PERSON> driver if applicable)
- EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in electrical diagnostics or plumbing are advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
