The Quality Assurance/Tester ensures the integrity, functionality, and compliance of software systems through comprehensive testing across the full Software Development Life Cycle. This role requires strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of QA methodologies, with preferred experience in Salesforce testing within a federal agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, integration, regression, security, Section 508, and usability testing.
- Plan and organize UAT activities; provide test scripts and data; document and report UAT feedback in JIRA.
- Implement automated testing methodologies using tools such as Selenium or Cucumber to support full lifecycle testing.
- Create and maintain all testing-related documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Triage Service Desk tickets to validate issues reported by end users and create bug/defect tickets in JIRA.
- Capture defects during UAT and release cycles; create and manage defect tickets.
- Assist users in assessing and troubleshooting application issues.
- Update and maintain user guides to reflect system changes and new features.
- Provide QA support during client meetings and stakeholder reviews.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics, or a similar discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum development.
- Solid knowledge of QA standards, principles, and methodologies.
- Experience with functional testing, regression testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility testing requirements.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Preferred: experience with Salesforce testing and automated testing tools such as Selenium or Cucumber.
