About Therma Wood Technologies
Therma Wood Technologies (TWT) produces thermally modified wood for the construction and building materials market. Using our Hydrolysis 2.0 process, we heat-treat softwoods and hardwoods with no chemicals and no steam. The result is wood that is more stable, more durable, and more resistant to rot, insects, and weather than standard lumber.
We produce over 10 million board feet a year and recently opened a new facility in Pennsylvania to serve customers on the East Coast. We are members of NAWLA, NHLA, and NADRA.
The Position
We are looking for an Outside Sales Representative to grow our business across the Northeast. You would work from a home office and operate out of our Pennsylvania facility. Your job is to sell our products to architects, construction companies, and lumberyards across the region.
This is a sales role for someone who can work on their own and build a territory. You will work with our General Manager in Montana, our Plant Manager in Pennsylvania, and the rest of the sales team, but most of your day-to-day will be self-directed.
Responsibilities
- Grow sales across the Northeast, including New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, Delaware, and nearby states
- Build relationships with architects, construction companies, and lumberyards
- Find and open new accounts and grow existing ones
- Explain the product and its advantages to customers
- Manage the sales process from first contact through close and follow-up
- Travel regularly through the region for meetings, site visits, and trade events
- Work with the plant and leadership to match customer demand with production and lead times
Requirements
- At least 5 years of B2B outside sales experience with a track record of hitting sales targets
- Bachelor's degree
- Able to work independently from a home office and manage your own schedule
- Willing to travel often through the Northeast, including overnight trips
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience in the building, construction, lumber, millwork, or wood products industry is preferred but not required. Training on the product and applications will be provided
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record for travel purposes.
Compensation
- $10,000 signing bonus
- Base salary plus commission, with on-target earnings of $200,000 or more per year for strong performers
- This is a commission-heavy role, so your pay is tied directly to what you sell
- Home-office based, with a defined territory across the Northeast
- Travel reimbursement will be provided
Pay: $65,476.00 - $198,328.00 per year
