Position Summary Moorings Park is seeking a dedicated and talented Assistant Project Manager to join our team. This role contributes directly to our mission by delivering exceptional service and supporting the well-being of our residents, families, and fellow partners.
Key Contributions

Provides support to the VP of Strategic Development and the MPI on designated projects that may include, but not be limited to the following:

Support with oversight of the Security Rover Team
-
Support with oversite of the Work Order / Works Hub Team
-
Support with RFP development and solicitations as needed by MPI.
-
Support with special assignments, tasks, and projects as designated by the VP of Strategic Development.

Provides support to the Director of Renovation and Construction and department with administrative functions such as opening/closing capital projects, organizing and updating project schedules, maintaining project records including contracts, purchase orders, pay applications, final closeout documents, be a resource for training and staff onboarding, etc.

Reviews submitted invoices with final contracted bid numbers for compliance, code invoices, submit invoices for approval and payment. Prepares monthly cost reports and track project progress.

Provides support to obtain cost proposals to perform specific work as assigned, helps prepare bid tabulations from the submitted contractor proposals, and review within the Department for accuracy.

Manages minor renovation tasks including but not limited to seeking contractor proposals for painting, carpet installations, cleaning and/or other enhancement projects as directed.

Works with contractors to create construction drawings, specifications, and details necessary to permit the renovation of assisted living apartments within all the Moorings Park campuses.

Prepares project work scope(s), schedule contractors to perform the work, perform quality control and quality assurance checks on the contractor’s performance to ensure a timely completion with quality workmanship.

Utilizes project management software to manage overall program of projects.

Demonstrates good management skills to be able to coordinate and direct contractors and provide professional leadership skills.

Must know responsibilities during fire alarms, fires, hurricanes, all possible emergencies and attend in-service training and educational sessions as assigned.

Works in unison with others professionally and respectfully carrying out the Moorings Park Mission, Vision, Values, and Standards of Behavior.

Shows initiative with respect to increased competency levels.

Works in compliance with all OSHA, HIPAA regulations and standards in addition to the Moorings Park Contractor Safety Manual.
Qualifications & Requirements
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language required.
-
During emergencies or natural disasters, may be required to remain on duty for the duration of the event.
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Vocational training in building, construction, and maintenance trades a plus.
-
Must have at least two years’ administration experience in the building maintenance and construction trades.
-
Must possess an understanding of construction fundamentals of remodeling and be able to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Experience working with professional consultants and contractors, project scheduling, invoicing, and preparing reports for management.

May be required to travel off campus using facility vehicle. A current Florida driver’s license and a safe driving record will be required.
