American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week outpatient physical therapy clinic assignment in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring a minimum of 1 year of OT experience and an active Oklahoma OT license.

Outpatient physical therapy clinic setting

Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

Diverse patient caseload including evaluation of independent living skills, occupational performance, prevocational work adjustment, educational skills, play-leisure abilities, and social and psychosocial skills

Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required

Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience required

Active OT license required; license required if applicable

Current BLS certification from the AHA required

Proficiency in organizing and instructing OT activities, interpreting prescriptions, and communicating technical information to patients

Basic computer skills required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Evaluate patients across multiple functional domains and develop individualized treatment plans with short- and long-term goals

Design and fabricate adaptive equipment and orthotic devices; provide instruction in joint protection and body mechanics

Assist with discharge planning, including equipment ordering and home therapy instruction

May supervise OT students

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation before being eligible for a new contract, and prior contracts may only be extended once for a total of 26 weeks
