This post is for a Kitchen Helper who is also willing and able to step into classrooms and help occassionally. This is a Full-Time position working M-F. The shift will be a 9 hour shift with a 1 hour lunch break.
Job Duties
- Serve snacks and lunch for all classrooms with extra care and attention given to allergies and dietary restrictions
- Wash all school dishes
- Keep kitchen and other school areas clean and tidy
- Help monitor supplies and communicate supply needs to director
- Take feedback well and be willing to learn
- Communicate with parents and other staff in a warm and professional manner
- Willing to step into classrooms as needed
- Engage with children in an age appropriate and caring manner
- Must be flexible and able to adapt quickly to different situations
- Attend occasional events or trainings outside of work hours
Qualifications
- Passionate about Early Childhood Education
- Must have a highschool diploma or GED
- Previous experience working with children preferred
- Ability to lift children, sit, kneel, and bend as necessary to interact with children and fulfill job duties
- Will be required to pass a background check
- Up to date on all required vaccinations
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification within 3 months of hire date (Barnette will provide assistance)
Salary and Benefits
- $18-20 an hour based on experience in the role and education/credentials
